Beta testing has officially kicked off for Blizzard’s cross-IP MOBA Heroes of the Storm. Anyone who missed out on the initial alpha phase and a subsequent closed beta can now jump in and start playing.
Head here, download the game client through Battle.net, and away you go. To get trounced by some team of sods who’ve already been playing for about two hundred hours.
If you’re yet to try out HOTS, Blizzard refers you to a ‘Heroes 101’ livestream over on the ZP Twitch channel, which will give you an idea of how to navigate the Nexus, and give you a quick glimpse at some of the horrible things you can do to famous faces from the studio’s gaming history. Other faces from the community have been roped in to cover various key areas of the game over the coming week. Check out the planned schedule here.
There’s a lot more content, both new heroes and cosmetic items, coming to HOTS in the next few months. Johanna the Crusader from Diablo 3 and Warcraft blood elf Prince Kael’thas are both on their way.
