This Year's Biggest 2D Puzzle-Platformer 'INSIDE' Now Has a Demo

If the weekend sales haven't given you enough reason to bloat your backlog a little more, Playdead has made a demo available for their latest puzzle platformer 'INSIDE' available through Steam. It doesn't take more than a single glance to know who's behind 'INSIDE'. The dark adventure game isn't quite as eerie as Playdead's last 2D puzzle platformer - LIMBO- but it's still rather gloomy. And with the recent removal of the controversial Denuvo DRM system, playing through one of summer's most anticipated titles is now a little more viable.

In an age of blockbuster cinematic titles and million-selling farming simulators, sometimes hearkening back to the days of an atmospheric side-scroller is a tough sell for the masses. Though there's no denying both Limbo and INSIDE struck a cord with press and public alike, a demo and a slight discount might be exactly what the title needs to carry on pushing that 'Overwhelmingly Positive' review average ever higher.

The Steam page does a fantastic job of explaining INSIDE through the use of its screeenshots more than its blunt product description. With IGN calling it a "Masterpiece" and Polygon hailing it as the most captivating setting they've ever encountered, it might be worth checking out since there's no down-payment needed. And it isn't a time limited affair, either. The demo will be available whenever you decide to check it out; but be aware the 25% discount is part of Steam's Autumn sale.
