Remedy Reveals Minor Details of Project 7 Through A Publishing Part...

Though we've technically known about 'Project 7' for a few years now, Remedy has only recently disclosed the codename their upcoming video game. That changed ever so slightly today as the group announced a partnership publishing deal with 505 Games. Being the publishing team behind some massive titles you've likely heard of (like Rocket League, Payday 2 and Terraria), 505 Games have secured exclusive rights to Remedy's next title for 20 years in a deal costing around $7.75 million dollars with 505 Games set to take 45% of the game's net revenue.

Through the deal a statement was issued onto Remedy Entertainments official website lightly detailing the new partnership by explaining the game in question as "a cinematic third person action game set in a new Remedy-created universe. Featuring an intriguing story and a game structure offering a long-lasting experience" Following on from that, the statement says "P7 contains the deepest game mechanics yet in a Remedy game" before confirming the title will run on their proprietary 'Northlight' engine - of which was specifically designed Quantum Break; their last major release.

Remedy Once Said That Quantum Break Started Life As Alan Wake 2

In the past, Remedy have utilised a mix of publishing partners for past titles with Microsoft Game Studios handling Alan Wake/Quantum Break with what later became THQ Nordic handling the physical releases. Rockstar Games later became IP handler of the Max Payne series with the release of Max Payne 3. Remedy Entertainment CEO Tero Virtala said "Remedy is also investing in P7 and is deeply committed to creating an unique gaming experience that will keep the players engaged and playing for a long time to come." Project 7 is said to be Remedy Entertainment's main push for a multi-platform title. While Alan Wake eventually made is to the PlayStation family of systems, Quantum Break remains solely a Microsoft affair.
