Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Makes Its Way Onto PC With This Short Gameplay Trailer

In a surprise twist, BANDAI NAMCO are preparing to bring PC players their first experience of the Ni no Kuni world when Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom hits the platform sometime this year. The sequel to one of the most inviting JRPGs of the last generation, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom serves as a pseudo-sequel to a game that released solely on the PlayStation 3 platform outside of its radically different Nintendo DS counterpart.

Gaining its allure from its unique partnership between famed RPG creators Level-5 and legendary animation house Studio Ghibli, the collaboration is still going strong despite Studio Ghibli scaling down their operations after the release of The Tale of the Princess Kaguya a few years back.

With key animator Yoshiyuki Momose still ready and willing to work for the Japanese game development studio, we're ready to get my Ghibli-styled charm through the spinning of what sounds like a nursery rhyme or fairy tale. Taking place in Ding Dong Dell, we play as Evan as he fights to form his own kingdom by teaming up with Roland, Tani and the Higgledies - creatures formed from the power of a pure heart. Since its surprise reveal at Sony's 2015 PlayStation Experience event, it comes as a shock to see the once semi-exclusive title making its way to PC around the same time. There's no specific date in mind, but Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is betting on a 2017 release.
