American McGee, of DOOM and American McGee's Alice fame, is building a proposal to EA. The pitch is composed of design documents and lots of concept art meant to convince the beleaguered publisher into greenlighting the third entry in Alice's franchise.

American McGee's Alice is a third-person action game that serves as a macabre and unofficial sequel to Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (that's a book, kids). The game takes place after the novel Through the Looking Glass, and finds Alice riddled with survivor guilt after her whole family dies in a fire. The 7-year old goes back to Wonderland, who is now a corrupted and macabre version of its former self, and must save the alternative world to save herself.

The new project, tentatively named Alice: Asylum, is a prequel taking place before Wonderland is fully corrupted. It focuses on Alice's treatment during her time at a mental asylum for orphans after her family died, which saw the young lady in a catatonic and semi-comatose state. McGee plans to convince EA to either publish the game, or ideally, license the IP to him so it can be developed and published independently.
