The new project, tentatively named Alice: Asylum, is a prequel taking place before Wonderland is fully corrupted. It focuses on Alice's treatment during her time at a mental asylum for orphans after her family died, which saw the young lady in a catatonic and semi-comatose state. McGee plans to convince EA to either publish the game, or ideally, license the IP to him so it can be developed and published independently. He also stated long ago that lootboxes and microtransactions will have no place in it. More news about Alice: Asylum can be found on Patreon, Steam Hub, or this handy reddit post.
