Billed as the 'most inaccurate medieval cemetery management sim of all time', Graveyard Keeper's got quite some shoes to fill in! Not that this particular niche is crowded, it's just that the game's premise is odd enough for it to possibly have some trouble finding its own two legs to stand on.
Of course, the main difference here lies in the fact that Graveyard Keeper will have you deal with corpses, graves, and soft religious imagery, though plants might come into play as well further down the line. The game is being developed by the developers of Punch Club, so there's some pedigree involved here as well. Graveyard Keeper is now planned to release on 15th of August, which is very close at the time of writing, and will let you know not only manage your own graveyard, play necromancer, and fiddle with all sorts of corpses, but also explore dungeons and do alchemy. Of course, there will also be plenty of opportunity for you to steal organs, butcher dead bodies, engage in various other illicit activity, and the like. After all, what sort of self-respecting graveyard keeper would you be if you don't?
