Star Wars Zero Company is a single-player, turn-based tactics game from Bit Reactor, made in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. It launches on August 27, 2026, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Set in the closing days of the Clone Wars, it lets players create and control Hawks – a former Republic officer who assembles a squad of misfits and mercenaries to face a shadowy threat that could engulf the galaxy.
Combat plays out in turns from a top-down view, with each squad member using action points that govern how far they can move and how much they can do before each turn passes. Injuries carry over between all missions and death is permanent, but the campaign presses on regardless of who falls along the way. Levels are handcrafted while enemy placement and tactics are random and react to the player's decisions. Back at Zero Company's base of operations, the relationships evolve and upgrades are acquired through off-screen operations and team synergies.
Bit Reactor is a new studio led by veterans of Firaxis' XCOM reboot and Marvel's Midnight Suns, and its pedigree shows in almost every aspect of the game.
